TOUCH/SEVENS SUMMER PRACTICE
We are running touch every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00PM to Dark at Prairie Park for both the Men and High School and are looking to enter some tournaments for both sides this summer.
WHITE SIDE (OLD) TOPS THE BLUE (OLDER) 12-10
This past Saturday, May 17th the White Side used their speed to eek out one against the much older Blue side 12-10 (12 tries to 10 points) in the Annual Alumni match. Thanks to all that came out. Write to be posted shortly.
HALL OF FAME - INAUGURAL CLASS OF 2008
Congratulations to the five inductees into the Maverick Rugby Hall of Fame - Inaugural Class of 2008. Eddie Farmer, Brian Lloyd, Jack Schwertz, Paul Tidlund and Orlando Reyes.
MAVERICKS HAVE A NEW SPONSOR - ZIEGENBOCK BEER
The club has a new sponsor - Ziegenbock Beer. They are being kind enough to provide us a new set of jerseys amongst other things. So now we are not the only team on the planet that doesn't have a beer sponsoring us. With that being said our choice of beer while at our local thirst parlor, Mavericks after practice and matches is Ziegenbock Beer. So do your part in helping this new relationship with our sponsor when visiting. Besides if Thunder is behind the bar that is all he will serve you so don't ask.
