What's New
WHAT THE HECK IS THAT ON OUR HOME PAGE?
And we're not talking about Chance's playboy pose!
Crazy (Michael Melton) has created a customizable online interactive multimedia publishing system plugin with social features that enables organizations like the Maverick RFC to generate revenue from their members submissions. He really would appreciate everyone to participate by making submissions, rating & commenting items, and embedding items externally.
Crazy is in the middle of migrating functions from a previous effort to this new platform and you will gain access to new features daily. Your participation is invaluable to Crazy, as he is talking with potential investors who want to see that folks will actually use the product.
Crazy would love to see media from the past and present. We will be creating a permanent media archive for the club. The publishing system currently presides on the Maverick Rugby homepage. And you can get more details about his project as well as submission instructions here.
P.S. Crazy love ya!
TOUCH/SEVENS SUMMER PRACTICE
We are running touch every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00PM to Dark at Prairie Park for both the Men and High School and are looking to enter some tournaments for both sides this summer.
HALL OF FAME - INAUGURAL CLASS of 2008
Congratulations to the five inductees into the Maverick Rugby Hall of Fame - Inaugural Class of 2008. Eddie Farmer, Brian Lloyd, Jack Schwertz, Paul Tidlund and Orlando Reyes.
SAD TO SAY - BUT YES WE ARE STILL COLLECTING DUES
The regular season is now over and we still have not received any dues from some players and partial dues from others. This is the same issue as last year which is getting old. It's been 8 months since we started practice back in September so there is no excuse. You know who you are as you have all gotten an email with what your outstanding balance is. For those who have paid, thanks. For those who haven't, what are you waiting for? A new dues policy will be put in place for the 2008-2009 season which will require you to be in good standing with the club to participate which means paying your dues. Full Season Cost ($200 Men/$100 Students). Half Season Cost ($100 Men/$50 Students). The Club accepts cash, checks and credit cards via Paypal (Dues/Donate link).
